My second option for a major
My entire childhood I wanted to be a teacher, I switched
into many specialties, first I wanted to be a math teacher, then I switched
into chemistry , then into biology, but I always wanted to investigate too.
When I was on Cuarto Medio I had some sort of vocational crisis and I had a
chat with my chemistry and biology teachers that were actually one of the main
reasons why I wanted to be one of them. Mister Sergio, my chemistry teacher,
one day came into the classroom and practically yelled at me I should study
Biochemistry, so I looked into it and I loved it, it has everything I want, investigation,
teaching and biology and chemistry that are two of the subjects I loved the
most, and also is always related to English that is one of the languages that I
love. When I talked to Miss Paulina, my biology teacher, she told me that I
could do it, that she believed in me to make it happen, that it could be a good
major to study and that it has everything that I want to be. But I went for
another road, sorry, my bad. When I was on primary school I wanted to be a vet
or pediatric physician, but I changed my mind because I can’t handle it when it
comes to little kids or animals, I mean, I love them so much that I can’t see
them hurting.
On the other hand, if I am a teacher I could still be in
contact with children and I love teaching. I remember that when I was in secondary
school I had some classmates that always came to my seat before a test to ask
me to teach them. That happened in almost every subject and I find it really
funny now.
When I was a child I wanted to be a teacher too. But life takes twists and turns...
